A living protective system

Skin forms the body’s outer barrier. It helps limit fluid loss, protects against injury and infection, supports temperature control and lets us feel touch, pressure, pain and temperature.Understanding these roles makes it easier to see why skin health connects with everyday comfort, work, wellbeing and overall health.

What shapes skin health

Skin does not live separately from you.

It responds to your body, your environment and the life you lead. One influence rarely tells the whole story.

01

Life Stage

Skin naturally changes from childhood through puberty, adulthood, pregnancy and ageing.

02

Environment

Climate, wind, heat, cold, dust, water and workplace exposure can all affect how skin feels and functions.

03

Whole-body Health

Sleep, stress, hormones, medicines, nutrition and general health can sometimes be reflected in the skin.

04

Daily Habits

Gentle care, protection and noticing changes early form a practical foundation for healthier skin.

Quick Answers

Start with your,

questions

Why does my skin change overtime?

Skin changes with age, hormones, health, environment and everyday exposure. Changes in dryness, oil production, texture and sensitivity can be normal, but persistent or concerning changes deserve professional advice.

The outer skin barrier helps keep moisture in and irritants out. When it is disrupted, skin may feel dry, tight, itchy, sensitive or uncomfortable.

Stress and poor sleep can influence overall wellbeing and may coincide with changes in some people’s skin. Skin concerns usually have several contributing factors rather than one single cause.

Seek advice if a change concerns you, is painful, keeps returning, spreads, interferes with daily life or does not heal or improve as expected.
